Bandhavgarh
Jungle Lodge
Bandhavgarh
Jungle Lodge: is walking distance from the Park's main gate, and is in
the periphery of the Park. Is has been developed on the theme of an Indian
village. The Lodge boasts of 10 roomy twin bedded cosy mud huts with
thatched roof and an inner courtyard, and a 4 chamber house with basic
modern facilities, including attached bath, running hot and cold water
showers, toilets and comfortable furniture. A spacious thatched dining room
serving Indian and continental cuisine becomes centre point of activities.
The
estate has a meadow that attracts deer, which come soon after sunset. One
can take leisurely strolls in the Reserve's forest for birdwatching, as the
entire place is flourishing with fruit trees. As darkness falls, in the
peace and tranquillity of the night and under the wonderful canopy of a
galaxy of stars, one can hear various animals call - including the alarm-cry
of the deer, the howling of jackals, or the occasional roar of a tiger.
