Explore three of India’s finest Game viewing locations, Ranthambore and Bhandavgarg famous for Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, and Bharatpur, perhaps the best bird watching location in the world. The journey also unfolds a region inhabited by colourful people, memorable bathing ghats and visit to Taj Mahal.

Suggested time: We suggest April & May because, whilst it will be hotter then the winter, the reduced water holes, shorter grass, and fallen leaves resulting from dry Indian winter! Provides the very best Tiger and mammal-watching conditions.

Detailed Programme:
Day 1: Arrive New Delhi International Airport.
Assistance on arrival and transfer to the Pre-booked hotel. Morning free to re-charge. Afternoon visit to. Old Delhi Tour: Shah Jahan founded the city of Shahjanabad, now referred to as Old Delhi, in 1648. The famous Red Fort in the heart of Old Delhi was once the most opulent fort of the Mughal Empire and it boasts the Diwan-I-Am, Hall of Public Audience. Opposite the fort is the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, built by Shah Jahan to dominate his city. Evening return back to Hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Delhi - Ranthambore by train
After early breakfast transfer to the railway station for train to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Ranthambore was one of the original areas covered by Project Tiger, the park covers an area of 389sq.kms. Afternoon free. Evening set of by jeep for game viewing with expert naturalist. Overnight in Jungle Resort..

Day 3: Ranthambore
Early morning game viewing, return back to the hotel for breakfast, a day to explore the bazaars, and the fort. Evening visit the park again for game viewing. Overnight in Jungle Resort.

Blossom Headed Parakeet Day 4: Ranthambore - Bharatpur
After breakfast drive to the world’s best birdwatching location- Bharatpur, the journey gives us chance to meet local people and visit villages enroute. Arrive Bharatpur and stay for two nights in Palace hotel. Evening visit to the park by cycle rickshaw. Overnight in heritage hotel. Bharatpur, situated in Eastern Rajasthan, this park is know as Keoladeo Ghana National Park and is one of the world’s most important heronries. It became a sanctuary in the mid - 1950’s and about a third of its 28 sq.kms. comprise a shallow, fresh-water marsh, known as the wetlands. The dry areas are mostly scrub, thorn and mixed deciduous forest. Although famous for its water birds, many mammal species can be seen.

Day 5: Bharatpur
Morning and evening bird watching, a day free to relax and visit to the palaces of Deeg by car.

Day 6: Bharatpur - Agra
A short drive of 60kms to Agra, journey bringing us first to the sand stone Mughal buildings at Fatehpur sikiri. Arrive Agra in the afternoon and check in the hotel. Afternoon visit to the grand Red Fort. Overnight in hotel.

TigersDay 7: Agra - Bandhavgarh by train
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, set within the paradise gardens, return back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit to Tomb of Akbar (Great Mughal king) at Skindra and also visit to the Tomb of Itamad ud Daula, often refereed as jewel of Agra. Afternoon board overnight train to Bandhavgarh at 1600hrs. Travel by 2nd class Air-conditioned sleeper berth.

Day 8: Bandhavgarh
Arrive early morning at 0630hrs and transfer by jeep/s to Bhandavgarh National park (30kms). Situated in the north of Madhya Pradesh, was established in 1968. Originally the private hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa, it covers 453 sk. kms. of undulating terrain. The vegetation comprises mixed forest with bamboo breaks and to the south there is open grassland. The park offers varied habitats to a large amount of animals and excellent game viewing. Tiger sightings are common. Here our three nights stay will be in a beautiful jungle Resort, close to the park. The best location to see the endangered Tiger in a broad daylight, the park also supports numerous kind of birds. A day free. Evening Elephant Safari. All meals and overnight in resort.

A Sadhu in Varanasi Ghats Day 11: Bandhavgarh - Varanasi by train
After Early breakfast transfer to the railway station for train to Varanasi at 0700hrs. Arrive Varanasi at 1600hrs and transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 12: Varanasi
A day begins with early morning boat ride in Ganges, a spectacular scene not to me missed, watch the holy men and local people having sacred bath as the sun rises, return back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit to the Buddhist sight of Sarnath, ancient temples and bazaars. Overnight in hotel.

Day 13: Varanasi - Delhi fly
After breakfast fly to Delhi, arrive and transfer to the airport hotel. After dinner transfer to the airport for return flight.

Day 14: Departure
Early morning fly back.
