Pench
Tiger Reserve is India's 19th Project Tiger Park and is considered one
of the countries finest new tiger reserves spread over 750 square kilometres
and consisting of primarily teak forest. The population of game is also very
high - it is considered to be the park with the highest density of prey
(spotted deer, wild boar, sambar, blue bull and Indian bison). It is also
home to a very healthy population of Tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs, Jackal
amongst other smaller predators. In fact there is a scientific study on the
wild dogs being carried out by the Wild Life Institute of India.
The
Park is connected by road to Nagpur (92kms/02hrs) which in turn is services
by flights from Bombay, Delhi, Culcutta and Hyderabad. And Pench to Kanha is
210 kms/05hrs 30 minutes by road and to Bandavgarh is 290kms/06hr 03
minutes.

Van Lodge : Just 05 minute walk from the entrance of Reserve. The charm
of the old forest rest houses has been blended with modern conveniences in
comfortable cottages which have independant with bedroom, bathroom and
verandah.
